Cardiac Tests for Professional Drivers

When determining the medical fitness of applicants and licensed drivers, the DVLA must ensure that you meet the criteria as set on their guidelines.

You may be requested to have a cardiac test before proceeding with your application.

The most common heart tests required by the DVLA and TfL are:

  • Exercise Treadmill Test
  • Echocardiogram

In some cases the DVLA requires to have a Stress Echocardiogram.

These tests can be easily and conveniently arranged at the London Centre for Advanced Cardiology.

Please bring your relevant medical records with you for paperwork completion
