Studies have shown that recording heart rhythm information continuously for up to 14 days helps our doctors to better identify whether you have an irregular heart rhythm or not.
Unlike other heart monitors, such as the 24 Hour Holter, which have wires and are bulky, the Zio XT Patch is small and lightweight and can be worn while you sleep, exercise or shower.
The device is applied to your chest during your appointment and once the 14 day reading is completed, you post it to us so that your heart information can be analysed by our consultants, who will then discuss the results with you.
